Let’s be clear: This is not an official SNK product. KOF Ultimate Mugen Gold Edition 2020 is a fan-made compilation using the MUGEN engine. Released during the peak of the pandemic lockdowns, it promised to be the definitive "final" collection of the decade.

The goal of this build was simple: to create the ultimate King of Fighters experience by combining the best sprites, gameplay mechanics, and characters from KOF '94 all the way to KOF XIV, while adding a selection of "guest" fighters from other SNK properties like Fatal Fury , Samurai Shodown , and Art of Fighting .
