Old firmware limited USB playback to 16-bit/48kHz. The "extra quality" update unlocks playback for PC users. To activate this: Go to Windows Sound Settings > Playback > A50 Game > Properties > Advanced > Default Format: 2 channel, 24 bit, 96000 Hz (Studio Quality).

: Ensure the switch on the back of your Base Station is set to PC , not Console, during the entire update process.
