The story revolves around Sujata, a mute young woman from a traditional family who falls in love with a Sufi priest. Their bond transcends language and religion, expressed through the rhythmic movements of Sufi whirling and the silent gaze of Sujata. However, societal pressures and family expectations eventually pull them apart, leading Sujata into a loveless marriage in Dubai. The narrative shifts beautifully between the past and the present when Sujata returns to her village upon hearing news of the Sufi’s passing.
