One emerging keyword in the Marathi entertainment landscape is (pronounced “a-eight-ix”). This paper analyzes the triadic relationship between the a8ix Marathi movie ecosystem, the formation of the a8ix club as a fan collective, and the curation of a8ix fun Marathi top content. We argue that “a8ix” represents a generational shift towards gamified, community-driven consumption of Marathi media.
