The photoshoot was a success, and over the following weeks, Luna worked with several more young black girls, each with their unique story and personality. The resulting photographs were breathtaking – vibrant, honest, and powerful.

As the camera clicked away, Luna encouraged Akira to be herself, to play, and to enjoy the moment. Akira, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin and the cool breeze rustling her hair, began to laugh and spin, her natural beauty shining through.
